The Barbara B Mann Performing Arts Hall is a 1,753 seat facility located on the campus of Edison Community College in Fort Myers, Florida. Entertainment of all kinds, from Broadway quality plays, nationally known artists including musicians, comedians, etc. The beautifully renovated lobby presents a perfect venue for weddings and receptions.

   Ding Darling

The J. N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge is located on the subtropical barrier island of Sanibel in the Gulf of Mexico. The refuge is part of the largest undeveloped mangrove ecosystem in the United States. It is world famous for its spectacular migratory bird populations. J. N. "Ding" Darling is one of over 540 refuges in the National Wildlife Refuge System administered by the U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

Tours daily of the historical site include the homes, museum, laboratory and gardens. The last guided tour departs thru 4 p.m. while self-guided tours run until 5:30 p.m. Botanical tours available on Thursday & Saturday mornings. Settled in 1894, this religious settlement boasted 50 buildings at one time, 11 of which still remain, including the Bakery, Art Hall, and the restored home of founder Cyrus Reed Teed. The College of Life Foundation across street maintains archives. A nationally recognized historical site, Koreshan State Historic Site was a utopian community. Fishing, camping, nature study, picnicking, playground, boat ramp and canoes for rent. Guided walks and campfire programs seasonally.

   Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge

Ten Thousand Islands NWR is located in Collier County on the southwest coast of Florida. Established in 1996, this 35,000 acres refuge protects important mangrove habitats and a rich diversity of native wildlife, including several endangered species. The refuge is part of the largest expanses of mangrove forest in North America. Approximately two thirds of the refuge is mangrove forest, which dominates most tidal fringes and the numerous islands (or keys). The northern third of the refuge consists of brackish marsh and interspersed ponds, and small coastal hammocks of oak, cabbage palms, and tropical hardwoods such as gumbo limbo.
